Meet our Teachers and Support Staff

Your Mighty Kids teachers and support staff are here to love, teach and care for your children. With a combined 40 years of childcare experience and various levels of education, we will teach each child as individuals and meet them where they are. Love, respect and compassion are the corner stones of what we teach your children.

I discovered my love and passion for working with children in 2014 when my church, American Baptist East, approached me with the opportunity to work at Mighty Kids as the cook. I remained the cook and was on support staff  for 3 years. In 2017, I was asked to become the director and after much prayer, I accepted the position. I wear many hats at Mighty Kids, from baby spoiler to "maintenance girl", and I love every minute of my job.

Elizabeth Lantaff also known as Ms. Elly started at the daycare as an afternoon helper while finishing her senior year of high school. Ten years later, she is now our Lead 3-4's preschool teacher. She believes she has been fortunate and blessed to be teaching in a childcare facility that has a nurturing, loving environment where children can learn and experience new challenges that will help build their confidence while they play. She looks forward to continuing to have a positive impact on the children's growth and to new discoveries with an amazing team of teachers.

My name is Shirley, I am the co - teacher in the two year old room. I am originally from Taiwan, a small island from East Asia. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Elementary Education (K-4) with an emphisis on mathematics. My philosophy for learning is that each child is unique, and each child learns in a different way. One of my jobs as a teacher is to help your child discover his or her individuality and work alongside them to maximize it. I believe in hands-on experiences, learning creativity, and learning through play. Besides developing, interacting, and experiencing many skills with children, I also teach some basic Mandarin/Chinese on a daily basis. I enjoy spending quality time with my family playing tennis, shopping, and going out for dinner.
